"Speci-Sponge" is Nasco's environmental sampling sponge - a low cost effective and convenient absorbent sponge designed specifically for testing laboratory surfaces and equipment for the presence of listeria, salmonella, etc. It is not treated with a bactericide like other sampling sponges. In its dry state the sponge is 1 1/2 x 3 inches in size. It is supplied in a sterile 18 ounce write-on Whirl-pak bag featuring the new "puncture proof" tabs to prevent accidental puncture.
