Colorimeter - Tintometer, Model F, Lovibond

The Model F is the newest in a well recognized series of Lovibond Tintometers, which have been widely used in color measurement applications for more than a century. It is used for color measurement of products, which transmit light such as oils, reagent solutions and syrups, and can also be used for light-reflecting products such as powders, fats and pastes.

The Model F is a visual colorimeter designed to use a series of Lovibond calibrated glass filters to match the color of almost any sample and to report the results in Lovibond units. It is designed with two adjacent fields of view seen through the viewing tube in order to make a side by side comparison of the sample field with the color field created by using glass filters. By creating different combinations of primary colors, the operator can match any color by looking through the double field viewing tube.

The Lovibond color unit scale has been established for many years and is specified in many International Color Standards. The viewing tube incorporates a blue correction filter to compensate for the Tungsten light source.

Supplied complete with Model F Tintometer, set of eleven racks containing permanently colored glass standards for the Lovibond scale, a sample chamber liner with a standard white reference, a spare white reference, rectangular fused glass cells (2 x 10mm and 2 x 1"), a color analysis record book and operating instructions.
