In 1970 we responded to increasing concerns over health and safety issues related to the handling of powdered culture media. By developing a way to manufacture our media in granulated form we were able to significantly reduce the health risks to microbiology lab personnel and, at the same time, build in other significant, differentiating products benefits. Because granules reduce dust, health risks due to inhalation, exposure to surface residues and airborn irritants are minimized.
Typical Composition (g/L): Peptone from Casein 10.0, Peptone from Meat 5.0, Heart Extract 3.0, Yeast Extract 5.0, Starch 1.0, Sodium Chloride 5.0, Agar-agar 13.0.
Application: For the cultivation of even fastidious microorganisms and also as a base for the preparation of various special culture media.
