Eliminates electrostatic discharge (ESD) and all the other static associated with storage of electronic components. Ideal for storing ESD sensitive devices such as CMOS, MOSFETS, hybrids, etc., under an inert, clean and dry atmosphere. Stainless steel with glass sides and front door panels. Inside glass surface is laminated with a transparent, static-dissipative, polyester film.
Expanded stainless steel shelf assemblies slide on conductive runners and are grounded to stainless steel shelf supports, frame and ground lug. Static generated from operator is neutralized upon touching cabinet. Under most room conditions (relative humidity greater than 40%) grounding is often unnecessary. Less "leaky" than plastic desiccators. Supports a pressure (0.01 inches w.c.) adequate to prevent atmospheric inflow during closed storage conditions of less than 0.3 SCFH of gas flow.
Comes with two shelf assemblies, 19 1/8 x 18 7/8 inches; shelf spacing is adjustable in 3/4 inch increments. Additional shelves available. Units can be stacked. Outside dimensions are 21 3/4 inches wide x 21 deep x 12 inches high for small model; 24 inches high for large model.
