Clear, molded polycarbonate top has a 2 mm bore polypropylene stopcock with Teflon® plug for gentle air entrance when releasing vacuum. Bottom section is polypropylene. Round polypropylene racks (14-3907-01, -02, -03) fit neatly into the desiccator. A peripheral flange around the bottom fits into two snap locks sealing the two halves against a Buna-N O-ring. Vacuum retention rating is 740 mm Hg (29:) (.09 M Pa). Interior is 4 x 2 7/16 inches high.
