The set consists of eight hydrometers, 265 mm long, having the following individual ranges:
0.700 - 0.810 1.200 - 1.420
0.800 - 0.910 1.400 - 1.620
0.900 - 1.010 1.600 - 1.820
1.000 - 1.220 1.800 - 2.000
The hydrometers from 0.700 to 1.010 are calibrated to 0.001 specific gravity and are for light liquids; those from 1.000 to 2.000 are calibrated to 0.002 specific gravity and are for heavy liquids. They require a hydrometer cylinder 38 x 325 mm and approximately 250 mL of liquid for submersion. Each set is supplied in a foam lined plastic carrying case complete with one etched stem thermometer with a range of -30 to 120°F.
