Molykote 4 is a grease-like, moisture resistant, silicone compound that adheres to ceramics, rubber, plastics, dry metals, and insulating resins. This electrical insulating compound is used as a lubricant and seal for battery terminals, cable connectors, rubber door seals, plastic O-rings and switches. It is also used as an assembly lubricant for metal-on-rubber and metal-on-plastic combinations. Molykote 4 retains a grease like consistency in temperatures ranging from -40C to +200 deg;C and offers the user high dielectric strength, low volatility, good thermal oxidation, and good chemical stability. When stored in the original unopened containers this product has a usable life of 60 months.
