Located in St. Louis, Missouri, Taylor Scientific has been distributing laboratory supplies, consumables, equipment, and chemicals for over 50 years. We take this opportunity to update our customers and stakeholders regarding events surrounding the COVID-19 outbreak and how it has impacted our business and industry.

Most importantly, we desire that everyone remains safe, healthy, and continues to monitor the CDC website for updates and best practice guidance as it relates to the Coronavirus. Internally, Taylor Scientific is taking every precaution necessary to keep our office and warehouse sanitized and disinfected to substantially reduce the risk of contamination of any material that is received into our building.

As a provider and supporter of vital industries, Taylor Scientific, based on guidance from the Federal Government & Department of Homeland Security, qualifies as an “essential business” and is exempt from the St. Louis County “stay-home-order” that went into effect on March 22, 2020. While the situation remains fluid, as of this writing, our business will continue to operate as normal. We will continue to serve, support, and supply the businesses and government entities which require the materials Taylor Scientific provides at this important time.

It should be noted that we are observing significant volatility in certain product segments, specifically chemicals. For example, as of March 20, 2020, there is a worldwide shortage of Iso-propyl Alcohol. Taylor Scientific will be allocating IPA purchases based on trailing twelve-month customer usage.  It may be difficult or impossible to honor purchases of IPA made through our ecommerce platform.

Additionally, Taylor Scientific does not sell to consumers without a valid business license. Individuals looking to procure medical supplies online will not have their orders processed and their credit card transactions will be voided.
