Plain Jacket Oxygen Bomb Calorimeter, Parr Instrument Company

For determining the heat of combustion of any solid or liquid fuel, or any material that can be completely burned in an oxygen combustion bomb. Recommended for the determination of the thermal value of fuel oil, ASTM Designation D-240-64 and of coal and coke, ASTM Designation 271-68, and D-2015-66.An improved version of the plain static jacket calorimeter that has been made by Parr for more than eighty years.

A reliable instrument that can be used for the same broad range of solid and liquid samples as the 16-5921 automatic unit. Recommended for teaching heat measurement techniques and for applications where no more than 10 to 12 tests are to be completed in an 8 hour day. Requires no permanent connections. Can be set up and ready to operate in a few minutes, and is easily disassembled for storage when not in use.
