Extend membrane throughput and filter high dirt-containing aqueous samples or solutions. Borosilicate glass fibers woven into a porous matrix bonded by an acrylic resin. Exhibit high capacity and strength needed for high volume aqueous filtrations. Type G15 have excellent retention efficiency, but limited dirt handling capacity. Ideal for upstream protection of 0.20 to 0.80 µm pore size membrane filters. Autoclavable.
Type G20 has a nominal pore retention of 1.0 µm providing a higher dirt loading capacity but lower retention efficiency. Ideal for upstream protection of membrane filters with 0.80 µm pore size and larger or as additional upstream protection of prefilter Type G15 filters in a serial filtration stack.
Type G25 retain approximately the same 1.0 µm as the G20, but have three times the depth for increased throughput and dirt-holding capacity. Ideal for filtering proteinaceous solutions and liquids that have heavy contaminant loads. Completely autoclavable.
Type G40 are borosilicate glass fiber prefilters without organic binders. Have a niminal retention of 1.0 µm, and are appropriate for routine filtrations. Autoclavable. Best used for solvent filtration; gravimetric analysis, contamination analysis of wastewater, industrial effluents and particulate matter in gases and liquid.
