Description

The EZ for Equivalent Zahn cups complies with and exceeds ASTM D4212 standards. They are compatible with ASTM D1084 viscosity of adhesives and ASTM D816, Calibration procedures qualify under MIL STD 45662A and is traceable to the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST). The cup and handle are stainless steel. The orifices are machined rather then drilled to insure exact centering in the cup hemisphere base and a minimum of burr formation. The support rods are offset from the side of the cup and secured below the rim to eliminate drainage errors. Viscosity can be measured in 60 seconds or less with the aid of a stopwatch and thermometer. Each cup is supplied with a conversion table to determine viscosity in centistokes from the elapsed time.
