This sampling device takes accurate readings on settleable soilds in any liquid, to any depth. Ideal for sewage treatment plants, chemical plants and food processing facilities. The Sludge Judge comes in 5 foot sections fo 3/4 inch clear butyrate plastic pipe with screw type fittings. Top section contains a nylon line for raising the samples. The sampler is immersed in a tank until reaching the bottom. When the pipe is filled to the surface level, a slight tug on the nylon line sets the check valve, trapping the solids and liquid in the sampler. Unit is 15 ft. long and is readily taken apart to fit in an optional carrying case.
