In 1970 we responded to increasing concerns over health and safety issues related to the handling of powdered culture media. By developing a way to manufacture our media in granulated form we were able to significantly reduce the health risks to microbiology lab personnel and, at the same time, build in other significant, differentiating products benefits. Because granules reduce dust, health risks due to inhalation, exposure to surface residues and airborn irritants are minimized.
Typical Composition (g/L): Peptone non-animal origin 20.0; D(+)glucose 2.5; sodium chloride 5.0; di-potassium hydrogen phosphate 2.5.
Application: Medium free of animal derived material specifically used for the sterility test in pharmaceuticals and Media Fill Test in a vaccine production process. The medium is pre-sterilized by ?-irradiation and triple wrapped.
Preparation: 30.0g/L
1.00550.5003 is the same product as 1.00550.5007, except .5003 is powdered and .5007 is granulated.
