Comparators - Nesslerizer Systems, PT-CO/Hazen/APHA Scales, Lovibond

This is a versatile system where the sample color is visually matched in a two-field comparator instrument against graded colored glass filters in Lovibond test discs. To ensure consistent and accurate readings when using Lovibond test discs for color grading. It is important to use a constant and stable light source to obtain an accurate color match between the sample and the discs. Nesslerizer systems are designed for color grading of clear, light yellow liquids such as oils, chemicals, petrochemicals and water.

Each system covers a set measuring range and includes a visual comparator, a selection of color standards, a standardized light source and Nessler tubes. The visual comparator is a Lovibond Model 2000 with a long path length to ensure good sensitivity and accuracy when grading pale colored samples. The selection of Pt-Co/APHA color standards are stable-colored glass filters in test discs, which have been precalibrated to give direct Pt-Co color readings over set measuring ranges.

The standardized bench-top light source is a Daylight 2000 Lighting Unit, which provides constant and uniform lighting conditions for color matching to ensure consistent and accurate readings. Appropriate Nessler tubes range in path length from 113mm to 288mm. The AF325 system (17-2485-01) covers the Pt-Co range from 10 to 250mg Pt/L. It includes the Nesslerizer 2150 with Daylight 2000 Lighting Unit and two 113mm (50mL) Nessler tubes, Pt-Co discs NSH (10-90mg Pt/L), NSB (70-250mg Pt/L) and stand for using Nesslerizer with natural lighting.

The AF329 system (17-2485-02) covers the Pt-Co range from 0 to 250mg Pt/L. The system includes the Nesslerizer 2150 with Daylight 2000 Lighting Unit and two 113mm (50mL) Nessler tubes, Nesslerizer 2250 upgrade with two 250mm Nessler tubes. Pt-Co discs CAA (0-30mg Pt/L), CAB (30-70mg Pt/L), NSB (70-250mg Pt/L) and stand for using Nesslerizer with natural lighting. The AF328 system (17-2485-03) covers the Pt-Co range from 0 to 70mg Pt/L. It includes the Nesslerizer 2250 with Daylight 2000 Lighting Unit and two 250mm Nessler tubes, Pt-Co discs CAA (0-30mg Pt/L), CAB (30-70mg Pt/L) and stand for using Nesslerizer with natural lighting.

The Nesslerizer 1209 is designed for applications, which comply with the precise requirements of ASTM D1209 (Standard Test Method for Color of Clear Liquids, Pt-Co Scale). The method specifies a Nesslerizer system for color comparison using 100mL tubes with the 100mL graduation mark 275-295mm above the bottom of the tube.

The AF327 system (17-2485-04) covers the Pt-Co range from 0 to 70 Pt/L according to ASTM D1209. The system includes the Nesslerizer 1209 with Daylight 2000 Lighting Unit and two 100 mL (288mm) Nessler tubes, Pt-Co discs 1209/1 (0-30mg Pt/L) and Pt-Co discs 1209/2 (30-70mg Pt/L).
