Similar in construction to 12-8870 gas drying unit. Filled with indicating Drierite and 5A molecular sieves, it is specially designed for gas chromatography and other applications requiring dry, pure, filtered gases. Prevents ghost peaks and improves baselines - essential for purifying Flame Ionization Detector air and hydrogen gas. Also excellent for removing moisture and impurities from gases when purging spectrophotometer compartments. Gas flow should not exceed 300 liters per hour for maximum efficiency. Contains 250 cc indicating Drierite (which can be regenerated) and 250 cc 5A molecular sieves. Maximum working pressure is 100 psig.
