BD Difco™ Soluble Starch

Provides starch for hydrolysis, detoxification of metabolic byproducts, and as a carbon source.

Can be purposed to a variety of applications.

Soluble starch features a high molecular weight and is a water-soluble dextrin that provides a source of starch for microorganisms to convert into energy. It is also useful in iodimetry, as it gives an easily visible purple-black end point in the presence of free iodine.
