Designed for continuous operation to 1200°C. Patented LGO™ (Light Gauge Overbend) heating elements provide exceptional wire energy release, transferring radiant heat energy to the work chamber and load. This element is recessed into Moldatherm® lightweight vacuum formed ceramic fiber insulation. Platinel II thermocouple. With an adjustable port on top for venting, safety door disconnect switch and removeable shelves. Heavy duty hearth plate handles a heavy load.
Model 18-2420-02 features a side swing door; model 18-2420-01 a vertical hinged door (overall height with door fully opened is 36 inches). Built in microprocesser-based self-tuning PID control provides optimal thermal process and prevents overshoot. Digital controller offers 16 programmable segments, one program with 8 ramps and 8 dwells. Adjustable high limit over-temperature protection. Simultaneous LED display of actual temperature versus setpoint. May be configured to display temperature in either °C or °F. Power cord and hard wiring supplied by customer.
