Listeria Selective Enrichment Broth (UVM formulation), EMD

In 1970 we responded to increasing concerns over health and safety issues related to the handling of powdered culture media. By developing a way to manufacture our media in granulated form we were able to significantly reduce the health risks to microbiology lab personnel and, at the same time, build in other significant, differentiating products benefits. Because granules reduce dust, health risks due to inhalation, exposure to surface residues and airborn irritants are minimized.
Typical Composition (g/L): Tryptose 10.0; meat extract 5.0; yeast extract 5.0; sodium chloride 20.0; di-sodium hydrogen phosphate 12.0; potassium di-hydrogen phosphate 1.35; aesculin 1.0; nalidixic acid 0.020; acriflavine hydrochloride 0.012.
